  • 1996.100.01 has a White Back.
  • The Enschedé issues have 9.5mm phosphor bands; the DLR Phosphor bands are 9mm.
  • SG Specialised does not recognise any difference between 1995.100.01 and 1996.100.02 except in a footnote.
  • 1996.100.02 is known as the "yellow head" as it fluoresces yellow due to using a deeper colour ink. It is a shade paler compared with 1996.100.01.
  • It may be difficult to tell the difference between singles of 2003.100.01 and 2004.100.01.
  • 2003.100.01 through 2004.100.01 has bluish gum whereas 2005.100.01 is creamy. Cylinder D2 is only found with cream gum.
  • SG specialised doesn't recognise it as such but 2007.100.01 is only available from the "40th Anniversary Machin" Miniature Sheet. It is a different stamp as it is "sideways printed" with the sheet versions being "upright printed".
