RE2 means consistent extended perforations in the left hand column but you can only identify with this on a marginal stamp. |
At left is an example of an Unvarnished block, in the middle is the 4mm Varnished block and lastly the 2mm Varnished block.
The above demonstrates the three different types of Enschedé varnishing varieties for YELLOW FLUOR issues.
They are sequenced in date order.
This is very much a simplified (basic) view of the varnishing only as there are varieties within varieties.
For example, the Unvarnished and 4mm Varnish should both show RE2 perforations in reality.
