Stamp Database (Professional Edition)

A Database for Stamp Collectors only.

Yes - for only £9.99 this database can be yours. It is available on DVD or 3 CDs. Delivery charge is only £1.20.

There are two main differences between this database and others you might see for sale.

1. It is built specifically as a stamp collecting database rather than a generic database that has been adapted for stamp collecting. This is because it was written by a stamp-collector.

2. It is completely open for you to adapt as you see fit or you can use as is. It is not written in a technical language all the terms used are known to serious collectors.

Do you collect One Country or All-World or maybe you have a Thematic collection you want to catalogue. Have you ever wondered what your collection is worth according to Gibbons?.

Based on the Microsoft Access Database you can make whatever changes to the Configuration, Set-up or Reports that you want. Any version of Access from 2000 upwards will suffice.

It will arrive on DVD (alternatively you can choose to take it on 3 CDs - your choice - the DVD is the default delivery vehicle).

The DVD will contain the complete database already populated with many countries, based upon the SG Cataloguing system. There are 110,600 records incorporated in the latest release. Many of the countries also contain the Scott equivalent numbering system where applicable.

There are 25,000 high quality images linked to the countries.

Also included is a totally empty database for you to populate as you need, for example if you collect Thematic you might only want to populate those entries that conform to your collecting theme.

A A Help file and instructions on installation and maintenance is included.

You will receive 2 databases:

· one blank (To start your own collection/country),

· one with the above sample of data and images already pre-populated with SG and Scott references for many of the countries.

· GB is complete following the SG Concise Catalogue 2007 and cross-referenced to Scott where possible. Entries for 2008 stamp issue, as released by Royal Mail, have also been entered with temporary SG numbers.

This all comes on a default of a 1.6GB DVD, alternatively you can order it on 3 CD-ROM's. You will need at least 1Gb of disk space (including space for current loadset of images).

*UPDATE* OVER 5,000 images and 25,000 records added since the update in October 2006.

NO TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE NEEDED - CDs will automatically load, it will be displayed on your desktop, plus full manual of installation and operating instructions included in PDF format (needs Adobe Reader).
