- 1992.039.06 has short bands top (S16) in Position 8.
- 1993.039.01 - 05, all with yellow fluor, originate from the Beatrix Potter Prestige Book (DX15) - Positions 3 and 9.
- 1993.039.02 has inset band right (I2) in both positions.

- These are larger format than the standard definitive series. All are printed by Bradbury Wilkinson (B). All are perforated 12 x 12. Image is not a true representation of the actual size.
- 3 types of paper: PO = Post Office Paper; POP = Post Office Phosphorised (experimental only) CP = Contractors Paper. The latter is whiter than the other two.
- 1970.050.02 used Uncoated Thinner Paper (UNC). Only available from Plates 8 and 9.
- 1970.050.03 and 1974.050.02 used thinner (THIN) paper than the others. Approximately 80 microns compared to the normal 100 microns.
- 1973.050.01 is only found on Plate 14. An ultraviolet light is needed to distinguish from other issues.

- The only way I can see of telling the difference between the FCP and the ACP issue in daylight is that the FCP appears a bit lighter than its counterpart. Under shortwave UV the ACP issue has a duller appearance.
- If using a longwave UV on the reverse of 1990.050.01 the head appears clearer through the stamp but looks marked (or blurred). The ACP version in contrast shows a much sharper head outline under the same conditions.
- If it is from cyl 35 then it must be 1990.050.01. If it is from cyl 36 then it could be either.
