New to collecting Machins. Could someone explain to me please the line in the
Deegam profiles "Sheets. 2".

Is it the number of sheets printed by one cylinder?

Thanks for your help

If you look at the beginning of the block of profiles (certainly in the machins.pdf file in the profiles directory) you will find a "template" profile which gives you an overview of what info appears on the subsequent profiles.

Thus "SOURCE CYL". so the line you refer to is the source of the single is from sheets and the cylinder that printed the sheet was cylinder 2.

Thanks for that - I now understand.

It is amazing at the amount of data that has been incorporated on those little profiles. I remember printing a copy of that "template page" of the profile layout and slipping it into a handy plastic sleeve so I could refer to it as I played with the stamps and after a while it all began to make sense to me.

The only issue I have with the profiles- and addressed with Doug Myall at one time- is that you cannot copy and paste them. I make my own album pages and it would have been nice to incorporate them into the pages, especially as a filler for a missing item. Doug didn't have an answer at the time. I suspect it was designed that way.

If you have Windows 7, the built in Snipping Tool would enable you to copy and paste them. Fab little tool, I couldn't live without it!
