Hi all,

I wonder if someone could help me identify this stamp?

It has been clean cut along the top and guillotined through the perfs on the right edge so I thought it was from the 1992 'Olympic' booklet by Walsall.

When I compared it I note that it is much lighter and the top edge of the booklet seems much less crisp - almost torn in comparison. The perfs are also different so clearly it isn't the Walsall one (is it?)

Both the unidentified stamp and the booklet do not have and phosphor bands and seem to be phosphor coated paper - they both have a similar 'shine' to them.

The image below show my unidentified stamp along with the Walsall booklet (of 4 stamps).

Bob
PS - I have all the reference books (Deegam, Stonham, MCC etc) - I just can't understand them!

I think that the perfs on the 'unknown' stamp might be 13 so this might point towards SG1516c I think.

These are from booklets UWB2 (panes UIPW4 and/or 7 as far as I can tell)

What do you think?

Hi Bob
You are correct in your assumption. These are SG 1516c 13 Perf. Litho Walsall issued in HB3a Booklet.
