|Hi I received the following in an email - I am not sure why it came to me as I am not a member but for anyone who is or is interested I copy verbatim.
|Since I wrote the ‘100 years of the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain’ in 2009 a lot of new information and material has come to light.
It is impractical to write an updated book, but an occasional newsletter in pdf format, with articles, covers, news, scans etc to inform interested people in Congress material might be of interest. There is no catalogue of Congress material and now with Francis Kiddle donating his Congress collection to the RPSL, it makes the availability of historical Congress material even scarcer. I am in the unique position of having over 2000 scans of Congress material, and as an experiment I have produced a 12 page pdf of Brighton 1932 and the George Higlett Brighton 'Memories' booklet, and both are available on ebay, to see if there is interest.
I have been invited to show part of my own collection at the Market Harborough Congress on Friday afternoon 25th July and I know that a number of fellow Congress Collectors plan to be there. Therefore I propose an informal exploratory meeting at the Congress Hotel to gauge potential interest about 5.00p.m.
Please copy this to fellow Congress collectors, and make this initiative aware to those without email.
If you are interested then please email me.
