2019-02-13

I intend to close this forum down very soon as it causes me more problems than I wish to cope with at the moment.
I may leave it open to view but no new members will be allowed, I haven't got that far in the decision process yet. I haven't even decided on a date.

I may transfer the "informational posts to an area on my site for viewing, rather than lose them altogether, again, I am yet to decide on that.

Can I suggest that users transfer over to the MBPC forum?

That i sad, Dave, but admittedly this group has been largely inactive for a while.
Please do let it go on a while so that special informative posts can be saved and archived.

I haven't actively done anything to close it down yet.
I was actually waiting for some responses like yours.
I will leave it live at least to the end of 2019 as long as it does not cause my retail site any problems which it has done recently due to idiots with nothing better to do than hack forums.

It is good to know that there are some users as there are many similar forums around.
As I said, I will keep it open for as long as it causes no issues.
Unfortunately, the people on whose servers these run are not really concerned about a small site like mine, so any problems at all, instead of isolating the issue, they just close the whole site down.

it will be another sad day for Machin collectors if this site fades away. I know that it is not used as much as it should be, and I for one am not posting a often as I should. It is also a shame that no new members will be allowed in the future.

I understand that running it takes up time and effort, something we are all short of these days.

Spammers are a pain, but we have to put up with them, These days I just add them to my gmail spam list and Google deletes it every 30 days. I do not even view the list.

What ever you decide Dave, my best wishes go out to you. Also many thanks for keeping the site running for all these years.
