I don't personally see something as low tech as an inkjet printed label being that accurate so would expect to see some degree of variability.

Without better scans I can't really see anything resembling a shift.
What you mention sounds like phosphor bands. |

If you use a solvent containing n-hexane (Coleman fuel, Fuelite etc) then after removal from paper another dip in solvent and the adhesive can be scraped off. I use an old credit card to avoid damage. |
